LSJFloorworks website is maintained for your personal use and viewing. Access and use by you of LSJFloorworks website constitute acceptance by you of these Terms and Conditions, which take effect from the date of first use.
The permission to reproduce LSJFloorworks protected material does not extend to any material on this site that is identified as being the copyright of a third party. Authorisation to reproduce such material must be obtained from the copyright holders concern.
Booking & Payment
A 30% deposit may be asked for in order to secure larger jobs in the diary.
If floorboards, wood or other materials are purchased on behalf of the client, payment upfront will be required for the said materials.
Payment is required on the day of completion unless prior arrangement is made.
Scheduled dates may be subject to unexpected change.
Payment may be made by cash or bank transfer on the day of completion.
Sealing & Maintenance
Three coats of seal and two coats of oil are standard, but additional coats are available.
Seal longevity is dependent on traffic conditions and maintenance carried out by the client.
We recommend maintaining a floor with professional maintenance products only.
Professional maintenance products and yearly maintenance programmes are available for booking.
Seals are generally touch dry in 3 hours, oils in 14 hours. It is the client's responsibility to make sure to avoid contact whilst drying.
All colour samples are representative and may vary due to individual conditions.
Once the colour has been agreed, verbally or otherwise, any subsequent changes will be chargeable at full job rate.
It is the client's responsibility to check the colour match at the moment of application.
Due to the nature of applications. Skirting may be marked during colouring. LSJFloorworks cannot be held liable for marking or redecoration.
Complete uniformity is not possible when hand colouring and finishing floors.
There are generally three methods to fill floors. But due to the natural movement of timber, the filling cannot be guaranteed and can fail at any time.
Repairs will be made as necessary to make good the floor surface unless otherwise instructed by the client. Substructure repairs will only be made after consultation with the client. If repairs are required an estimate will be supplied to the client and the cost of the said repairs will be over and above the initial estimate submitted.
Supply of reclaimed timber is in accordance with market availability.
Reclaimed timber cannot be guaranteed to be the same colour as existing timber.
Hours Of Work
Work hours run generally 8 am–6 pm, Monday to Saturday, however, due to the nature of the sealing process, we may have to make site visits at other times. If clienteles requires the sanding/sealing operation to be conducted overnight there will be an unsociable hours premium, which will have to be discussed and agreed with LSJFloorworks prior to commencement of work.
Public Liability Insurance
LSJFloorworks is fully insured with the appropriate public liability insurance.
LSJFloorworks owns the copyright for the information and images available on LSJFloorworks website unless otherwise indicated. The use of any image or text for commercial gain is strictly prohibited. Where any of the LSJFloorworks copyright items on this site are being republished or copied to others, the source of the material must be identified and the copyright status acknowledged.
